Serving Jesus: "Whatever you do in word
or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, Serving Others: "...whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant; and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be slave of all. For even the Son of Man (Jesus) did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many." (Mark 10:43-45) Serving Jesus is manifested by serving others. So, how does one become great in God's eyes? How does one get to be first in God's Kingdom? He must serve others. We look for servants who desire to be just that - a servant. Our culture has taught us to give in order to receive. Jesus teaches us to give regardless of what you receive. We look for servants who have that same attitude for Jesus said, "It is more blessed to give than receive." (Acts 20:35) Raising Support ($): Jesus taught us via Luke 17:33 that "Whoever seeks to keep his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it." In fact, this is one of the few quotes that all four gospel writers record which tells us it must be one that God thinks is worthy of repeating. Our goal as an organization is to focus on "losing our life" by serving others. We truly believe that if we focus on being a servant and serve with all excellence we will be blessed. One way that blessing can come is in the form of a donation being made, on behalf of the servant, towards an upcoming mission project he/she will be participating in. We know that ministry requires money to operate. Missions can be expensive. It is one thing if we are ministering in our own neighborhood. It is another thing altogether if our mission is halfway across the globe. Our desire is that this organization will help create a liaison between those who desire to serve and those who desire to give with good ole fashioned hard work sandwiched nicely in-between. |
